CREDIT DIRECT PARTNERS WITH CREDICORP TO KICK OFF CONSUMER CREDIT SCHEME FOR CIVIL SERVANTS NATIONWIDE

Credit Direct, Nigeria’s largest finance company, has announced a strategic partnership with the Nigeria Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) to enhance access to consumer credit for civil servants across the country. This collaboration aims to provide discounted credit facilities to over 15,000 civil servants, making credit more accessible and affordable to eligible Nigerians.

Beginning September 2024, civil servants will benefit from exclusive loan offers with reduced interest rates and flexible repayment plans. This initiative is part of a broader effort to support the financial well-being of Nigerians, which aligns with CREDICORP’s mission to extend consumer credit access to 50% of working Nigerians by 2030.

“We are excited to start the consumer credit scheme for civil servants with Credit Direct. This institution is by far the largest in Nigeria in lending to this group, with a solid track record of scale and diversity” said Uzoma Nwagba, CEO of CREDICORP. ”By offering affordable credit options, President Tinubu aims to provide financial flexibility and support to Nigeria’s dedicated public servants, enabling them to access a higher quality of life backed by their income.”

Chukwuma Nwanze, CEO of Credit Direct, emphasized the importance of the partnership in fostering financial inclusion. “Our civil servants are vital to the nation’s growth and stability, and we are committed to supporting them with accessible credit facilities. This partnership with CREDICORP allows us to extend our services to more individuals, ensuring that all civil servants can access the funds they need quickly and easily.”

Over the past 17 years at Credit Direct, we have positively impacted the lives of millions of customers across Nigeria. With branches in 23 states and a presence in all 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, through our digital channels, we continue to serve working-class Nigerians nationwide.

“Our focus on digital transformation and robust technology capabilities has been key to driving financial inclusion for our customers. We are committed to a future where financial well-being is accessible to all Nigerians,” added Chukwuma Nwanze.

This partnership underscores the credibility and reliability of Credit Direct as a Central Bank-licensed finance company. While the promotion initially targets civil servants, we remain dedicated to expanding access to affordable and reliable financial services for all sectors of the Nigerian population.

Key Features of the Credit Offer

  • Lower Interest Rates: Civil servants can access loans at reduced interest rates for a limited period starting from September 2024.
  • Flexible Repayment Plans: Customized repayment schedules designed to meet the unique needs of each borrower.
  • Quick and Easy Application Process: Streamlined procedures ensure fast access to funds, making it easier for civil servants to manage their financial needs.

Credit Direct and CREDICORP are committed to enhancing financial inclusion by removing barriers and offering affordable credit. Together, we are helping to create a financially inclusive Nigeria where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.
